One of the largest public map archives in North America, the PCL Map Collection offers thousands of historical maps, including WWII theaters and topographic series.


Royal Air Force Museum Archive
The RAF Museum houses extensive collections on British aviation, including squadron records, war diaries, photographs, aircraft blueprints, and combat operation reports.


Russian State Archives GARF

Steve Snyder (Book Writer)
Steve Snyder is a multiple award-winning author and historian, best known for Shot Down, a detailed account of the B‑17 ‘Susan Ruth’ crew during World War II. The book chronicles the February 1944 mission when the aircraft was shot down over the Franco‑Belgian border, detailing each crew member’s fate through survivor testimonies, wartime letters, and Belgian Underground assistance. In addition to writing, Snyder hosts extensive interviews with WWII veterans—many of whom participated in his father’s missions—and curates archival military documents and audiovisual materials on his site. Yad Vashem Archives (Israel)
Yad Vashem houses one of the world’s most extensive Holocaust archives. It includes testimonies, Nazi documents, ghetto records, and partisan files. The collection is multilingual and partially digitized.
